The 8th Wonder of the World: Casile Soap

Growing up I was blessed to have great-grandparents who played and active and large role in my life. I learned so much from them both and I will be forever grateful for that. One of the things I learned was that she used Castile Soap for literally EVERYTHING. We used it to bathe, to wash our laundry, to clean with… I swear it was in ingredient in every homemade cleaning recipe she had. Throughout the years I have made her cleaners here and there, but I have not been consistent with my efforts due to lack of convenience and laziness to be honest. Well, no more of that. I’m getting back to embracing the old ways and controlling what I use.  Especially with small children back in the home full time.

Castile Soap was created by the Heilbronner family in the 1880’s and supplied washrooms across Germany with a good soap product. During the 1930’s and the rise of a very mean German dictator, Emanuel Heilbronner dropped the “Heil” part and immigrated to the United States. In 1948 Dr. Bronners was founded and has been supplying the world with a mighty fine product ever since. The name Castile sounds harsh, but I can assure you, it’s quite the opposite. This soap is creates using plant oils. If it gets on your hands or skin no worries! It has nourishing and nutritional values and every single ingredient in it has a therapeutic benefit. It’s rich in antioxidants, has antibacterial properties and powerful cleaning values. What this soap does not have are any toxins are present in many convenience products. It’s natural, nontoxic, and biodegradable and for those reasons alone is a staple in my home, whether I use it to its full potential or not. It’s perfect for babies like Emery and for sensitive skin and eczema, which Summit suffers from.  I’ve decided 2023 would be different. As a stay-at-home Nana I have plenty of time to do all this and help my family save money over the long haul. And besides, the products work really well and without toxins. My family deserves as chemical free of a home as I can create. Not only am I controlling the ingredients in them, but I can pronounce the ingredients in them.  That’s super important to me with these kiddos. If you’d like to see how good these cleaners work, chick here. I like to use organic, cotton reusable and recyclable cloths in place of paper towels. There is a link to the product in the video description. I HIGHLY recommend them. Amazing product that pair perfectly with our all-natural cleaners. I hope you will give these tried-and-true cleaners a try in your own home. They’re safe, all-natural and best of all… they all work, and they work amazingly! Try them and see for yourself!
